About Us

Hoda-e-sharq Organization for Development of Afghanistan (HODA) is nongovernmental, non-profit and independent organization that has established in Takhar province since 1388/11/10 Solar Year officially registered in Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan republic state with register number (1603). HODA activities will be in progress along with national and international organizations.

We are a national non- government organization dedicated to fight against poverty and eliminate suffer from the poor communities in Afghanistan particularly the women.

We place special focus on working alongside poor women because, their accessibility to the proper resources, the powered women can help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. Women are at the heart of HODA community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of disease, and increase access to basic resources, develop economic opportunity, and protect natural resources. HODA also delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives.

We target very poor people in Takhar, Kundoz, Badakhsha and Baghlan provinces of Afghanistan, directly enabling them to improve their lives, as well as using our knowledge and experience to influence decisions made at a local, national and international level that can significantly reduce extreme poverty.

The marginalized and vulnerable communities, particularly women and youth, by improving their capacity and access to services and opportunities to resolve social and economic challenges in provinces.

To create a society where the poor have access to economic opportunities and social services.

Reduced poverty by widening livelihood options through women and youth’s empowerment and skill development.
